Si è tenuto domenica 21 Aprile presso il ristorante La Casupola di Bosisio Parini il pranzo sociale 2024 di A Smile for Cambodia Onlus. / A Smile for Cambodia Onlus social lunch 2024 was held on Sunday, April 21 at La Casupola restaurant in Bosisio Parini.

Dopo cinque anni di assenza (l’ultimo era stato nel 2019) è tornato questo graditissimo evento conviviale, che ci ha consentito di passare una piacevole giornata con i nostri associati e alcuni dei nostri ormai numerosi sostenitori del Sostegno a Distanza. / After a five-year absence (the last had been in 2019) this very welcome convivial event returned, allowing us to spend a pleasant day with our associates and some of our now numerous Distant Adoption Program supporters.

Oltre 40 i partecipanti che hanno voluto essere presenti a questo evento importante per la nostra vita associativa. Tra i partecipanti 11 dei 20 associati, che hanno poi partecipato all’assemblea per l’approvazione del bilancio 2023 dell’Associazione. / More than 40 participants wanted to be present at this important event for our association’s life. Among the participants were 11 of the 20 associates who then attended the assembly to approve the Association’s 2023 financial statement.

L’evento è stato occasione per condividere la gioia di essere stati ammessi alla piattaforma di crowdfunding della banca IntesaSanPaolo, For Funding, con il nostro progetto “Un Futuro di Speranza per i Bambini di KEP” che ha l’obiettivo di consolidare il progetto del nostro Centro Diurno in Cambogia, che ogni giorno ospita 146 bambini della scuola primaria. Per ogni donazione effettuata dai nostri sostenitori la banca donerà altrettanto, quindi l’iniziativa ha importanza fondamentale per la nostra Associazione e per il nostro Progetto a Kep. / The event was an opportunity to share the joy of being admitted to the IntesaSanPaolo bank’s crowdfunding platform, For Funding, with our project “A Future of Hope for the Children of KEP,” which aims to consolidate the project of our Day Center in Cambodia, which hosts 146 elementary school children every day. For every donation made by our supporters, the bank will donate a corresponding amount, so the initiative has fundamental importance for our Association and our Project in Kep.

Operiamo in Cambogia con questo progetto, tramite la nostra organizzazione gemella Shade for Children NGO, dal 2013. Il team cambogiano che gestisce il progetto conta un totale di 15 persone che operano per il supporto materiale ed educativo di questi meravigliosi bambini. / We have been operating in Cambodia with this project, through our sister organization Shade for Children NGO, since 2013. The Cambodian team running the project has a total of 15 people working to provide material and educational support to these wonderful children.

Il bilancio di A Smile for Cambodia Onlus approvato dall’Assemblea degli Associati evidenzia un avanzo di gestione di 4.924 euro. Le erogazioni di fondi per il Progetto Kep sono state pari a 33.580 euro oltre a quanto erogato per i Sostegni a Distanza pari a 32.360 euro per i 129 bambini inclusi nel programma. / The financial statements of A Smile for Cambodia Onlus approved by the Associates’ Meeting show an operating surplus of 4,924 euros. Disbursements of funds for Kep Project amounted to 33,580 euros in addition to the amount disbursed for Distant Support Program of 32,360 euros for the 129 children included in the program.

Per il 2024 il budget del Centro Diurno di Kep è di 44.450 usd per la gestione e 9.750 usd (di cui 5.400 usd coperti dalla nostra Associazione) per investimenti, in particolare il rifacimento della parte più vecchia della recinzione risalente al 2014. Per il Progetto Sostegni a Distanza sono previste erogazioni al progetto per 35.960 usd. Un impegno complessivo per A Smile for Cambodia Onlus pari a 85.810 usd (oltre 82.370 euro al cambo usd/euro di 0,96 utilizzato per le stime di budget). / For 2024, the budget for Kep Day Center is 44,450 usd for operational expenses and 9,750 usd (of which 5,400 usd is covered by our Association) for investment, especially the rebuilding of the oldest part of the fence dating back to 2014. Disbursements of 35,960 usd are planned for the Distant Adoption Project. A total commitment for A Smile for Cambodia Onlus of 85,810 usd (over 82,370 euros at the usd/euro cambo of 0.96 used for budget estimates).
